A man’s blood was tested while he was angry and it had turned poisonous. The mothers are prohibited to feed their babies while they are angry because the toxic hormone adrenaline adds to the milk while the mother is angry and the milk becomes toxic for the baby.A person is considered a wrestler who is physically strong and knows the wrestling tricks. But Islam defines it in a different way. It is narrated in Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Al-Muslim that he who wins over his rival in a duel is not a wrestler; rather wrestler is he who controls himself in the state of anger.’
Being graced in the biggest congregation ever: It is mentioned in MishkatShareef that HadhratSahl Bin Muuazرضي الله عنه narrated that our beloved Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم said, he who drinks a drought of his anger (controls his anger), would be invited by the Allah Almighty on the Day of Judgement and would be asked to choose whatever he desires. In another tradition it is mentioned that his heart would be filled with peace and sound faith. He, who can take the revenge but does not do so would be asked to stand up in the biggest congregation ever and would be asked by Almighty that you have a right on ME. Like we ask someone to come to the stage and take some prize. Similarly the person would be asked by the Almighty to come up to be blessed with His Grace.
The anger starts with stupidity and finishes in humiliation. In Arabic, we have two different words for anger. ‘Ghaiz’ and ‘Ghazab’ but they are different in their meanings. Ghaiz means the anger which is produced in a person’s mind but he can’t help it out, that anger flames a fire in a person’s mind. Ghazab means the anger in which there is also an intention for revenge. Both of these words are used for creatures but only Ghazab is used only for Allah as the Almighty does not need to do any intention but He can do what He Wills.
Our beloved Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم once expressed that even in the state of anger; he never uttered anything except the truth. The anger starts where the wisdom finishes. Our wisdom is washed out when we are angry. We utter such words by which years of good relations ruin in a fraction of second. Even sometimes the person becomes an infidel due to those words. E.g., if someone said this is what Shariah says and the other says, set aside the Shariah. The uttering person becomes an infidel due to that. The anger is the monster that splits a disciple from his master, master from his disciple, husband from his wife and a saint from his followers or even a person from his Almighty Lord.Why a mother’s milk turns poisonous? The devil runs in the veins of an angry person. Being angry means we are taking revenge from our own self for the mistakes committed by others which is quite awful. Hadhrat Abu Hurairaرضي الله عنه narrates that once a person asked the beloved Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم for a piece of advice. He صلي الله عليه وسلم replied لا تغضب [Do not be angry.] He again requested for some advice. His reply was the same. Another Hadith states that the man had asked the beloved Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلمabout a deed which entitles him to paradise but it should not be very difficult and exhaustive. Upon this, he صلي الله عليه وسلم replied, ‘Do not be angry.’Our beloved Holy Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم mentioned three things with swears viz. ‘He, who forgives a fault of others, soon would be graced on the day of judgement by the Allah Almighty Himself. He who spends in the path of Allah would have his wealth increased. He who asks others for help would get a gate of misery opened for him.’

Causes of anger: There could be various causes of anger. Some of them are as follows:
Kibr(Proud): Thinking oneself to be the supreme one and with the belief that the person gets out of control even for petty things. It is just like having invisible horns which they would strike against everyone including their family and other relatives.Ujab(Self-praise): Ujab means self-liking and praise. The person starts thinking him or herself as matchless and starts looking down upon all.
Mazah (Satire): Some people can’t tolerate satire and even some light discussion among the friends often ends up in fight and cut offs.
Criticism: If a person loses the self-control on being criticised by others especially when some of his personal faults are brought to light. It is quite natural.
Greed: A greedy person becomes angry when his greed is not satisfied.
Jealousy: Being jealous means that while thinking of a blessed person, start desiring to snatch that from that person even he does not get it either. This is an internal hell which burns a person from inside and he can’t control himself to find other people being blessed.
Cure of anger: When a person is angry, he should remain silent and as quiet as possible. Any words uttered in anger would be full of filth and would open a gate of trouble. It would destroy the family relations. When our beloved Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم would be angry, his noble face would turn rosy and the holy companions got alerted by that.
Change your place in anger. If you are inside a room then you should go in the open space. If you are standing, then sit down and if you are sitting then lay down. Take a drought of water. Anger is like a fire and the water would extinguish it down. Perform ablution. It would cool down the anger and soothe the nerves. Recite Taawuz and ask refuge from Allah Almighty from the devil’s evil effect.
In addition to these, if the anger is still not cooled down, then just imagine that if you become angry at the petty mistakes of others then what would happen if the Almighty caught you for the big and small sins that you have committed during your life.
