Whilst imparting a lesson of hadith one day in the court-yard it started to rain. As he continued teaching the students picked up their books and fled indoors. Maulana saab spread out his turban on the ground and began piling the students shoes onto it. When asked what he was doing he replied: "I am picking up your shoes becuase you came to learn hadith of Rasulullah (SAAW). I am not picking your shoes up, i am picking up the shoes of the guests of Rasulullah (SAAW)."
